Starting new adventures: both exciting and scary

Starting something new is always an adventure. An adventure that is mixed with both excitement and being scared. Excitement of the unknown. Scared of the unknown.

But mostly excitement.

I finally made some decisions about the direction of my writing. After four years of using Weebly and then another year of sampling WordPress, I decided to close down my other website with Weebly and focus solely on my blogs on both WordPress and Medium.

It’s exciting, because I feel WordPress will be a better host for my blog posts over the long haul. However, it’s still a new platform for me to use. Although I like learning new things as they force me to concentrate, I also like the familiarity of working with something I already know.

It’s definitely a Catch 22.

I have also switched everything else officially over to Everyday Life Uncluttered. My email address is everydaylifeuncluttered@gmail.com (drop me a line sometime) and my Twitter handle is now eluncluttered (can’t have more than 15 characters).

It is great to finally streamline my brand away from Get to It to Everyday Life Uncluttered. The only piece I haven’t changed is my weekly newsletter. Currently, it’s GTI (short for Get to It) Wednesday. I’m working on a better tagline for my newsletter but I’m not quite there yet.

Speaking of my newsletter, it’s GREAT! However, I need to figure out how to get people to a subscription option as that was on my previous website.

Other than that, I love that my brand has completely shifted (almost) to Everyday Life Uncluttered! I’m looking forward to writing content consistently and to connecting with you on simple living and positive vibes.

Here’s to new adventures, both exciting and scary!

Received the book you gifted (The Year of Yes) and wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed it. I will be passing it on to my sister this evening. I have decided to put my name on it and then have the next person to read it put their name on it and so on. It will be interesting to see where this book goes!
I am also going on a small road trip this morning with my best friend, just for a couple of days. It has been a long time since the last adventure!

    1. That is a great idea, Lee-Anne! It would also be cool to add where the person is from to see what parts of the world the book travels to.

I hope you had a great time on your adventure! 🙂
